London : His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee (REHC), attended the annual Bahrain Trophy, as part of the July Festival at Newmarket Racecourse in the United Kingdom.

His Highness noted Bahrain’s commitment to participating in this prestigious annual event held at one of the world’s most renowned racecourses, reflecting the strong bilateral relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in the field of horse racing.
His Highness affirmed that Bahrain’s global reputation in horse racing and its organisation underscores the ongoing successes achieved by the Kingdom, driven by the excellence and continuous determination of its sons and daughters. This legacy stems from their love for horse racing, a heritage deeply rooted in the nation’s history.

His Highness highlighted Bahrain’s efforts in horse racing, which have garnered international attention, reaffirming the importance of continuing the strategic approach to solidify Bahrain’s international sports position. This approach was established under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness emphasised that the continuation of organising the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket Festival reflects Bahrain’s distinguished status in global horse racing circles, commending efforts to leverage these major events to showcase Bahrain’s advancments across various domains. He also commended the Economic Development Board’s ambitious initiatives in this regard.

His Highness expressed gratitude to all involved in organising the festival, which attracts numerous participants each year from elite horse owners, trainers, riders, and horses worldwide, wishing everyone continued success and achievements.
During the event, His Highness presented the Bahrain Trophies to the winners of various races, including representatives from stables and owners from around the world.

Bahrain sponsors several horse races in European tracks, including the Bahrain Trophy at the July Festival, The Princess of Wales’s Stakes, and the annual Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket Racecourse in the United Kingdom, as well as the ‘Dublin to Bahrain’ race series.
