Manama ; The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) honoured His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, for his global accomplishments as the only Arab rider to achieve such distinction in international endurance racing.
The recognition marks HH Shaikh Nasserbin Hamad’s consecutive victories in the FEI Endurance World Championships, including his latest win in September in Monpazier, France, over a 160km course, and the 2022 championship held in Bou Thib, UAE.
The FEI also acknowledged HH Shaikh Nasserbin Hamad’s ongoing contributions to the sport and his pivotal role in advancing endurance racing globally.
On behalf of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UAE and Honourary Vice President of the FEI, received the award from Ingmar De Vos, FEI President, during the FEI General Assembly in Abu Dhabi.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Haamad expressed his appreciation to the FEI for the recognition, considering it a motivation to continue advancing endurance sports. He also commended the efforts of the UAE Equestrian Federation, led by Major-General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi; and Sultan Al Yahyai, President of the Group VII of the FEI, for their role in supporting the sport.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad on the recognition, which celebrates the accomplishments of riders from Group VII of the FEI, wishing him continued success and achievements.
