Manama: Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Deputy Chairperson of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, received here today the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Srivastava. Dr. Shaikha Rana lauded the distinguished long-standing solid Bahraini-Indian relations of friendship, and their steady progress, particularly at the political, economic, educational and cultural levels. She underlined the Higher Education Council’s keenness to develop educational and research cooperation with friendly India in order to support the educational process and serve efforts to achieve sustainable development in the two countries. The two sides also discussed higher education topics of mutual interest. The Indian Ambassador expressed pride in the meeting, and appreciated the efforts and role of the Higher Education Council to improve higher education and provide all success requirements for it, wishing the HEC Secretary-General every success.
