Riyadh : Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), confirmed that signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will contribute to the development of administrative work and the enhancement of human resources, thanks to the institute’s expertise and capabilities in the field of training and administrative development.
Al Budaiwi was speaking while visiting the headquarters of the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh on Saturday, where he was received by Dr. Bander bin Asaad Alsajan, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration.
The GCC chief was briefed on the journey of the Institute of Public Administration since its establishment in 1961 and its pioneering achievements in the fields of organisation, administrative development, and training during those decades, as well as the ambitious future plans and activities contributed by the institute to the joint GCC work and the GCC Secretariat General.
He praised the significant role played by the Institute of Public Administration and its clear contributions to organising and developing administrative work through the provision of programmes, projects, and studies that lead to the development of work and human capital, thus positively impacting performance improvement in government institutions.
The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Secretariat General of the GCC and the Institute of Public Administration, aiming to establish a general framework for cooperation between the two sides in areas and priorities of mutual interest and activate cooperation in several areas in the field of administrative development and training.
