Rabat : Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, on the sidelines of the Human Rights Council meeting hosted by Morocco.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in areas related to protecting human rights and freedoms.
The discussions also highlighted the achievements of Bahrain’s National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026), which serves as a roadmap for advancing human rights in the Kingdom.
Additionally, the meeting addressed several regional and international issues, including developments in the Middle East and the humanitarian challenges faced by civilians and refugees due to the conflict in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
Khalid bin Salman Al Musallam, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Morocco, attended the meeting.
