New Delhi : Officials in the Indian state of Tripura have reported that the death toll from recent flash floods has risen to 20.
Continuous rainfall over the past four days has caused rivers to overflow, leading to floods and the displacement of thousands of residents in the state.
More than 65,000 people are currently staying in 450 relief camps across eight districts. Over 200 rescue teams, including civil defence, fire services, and emergency personnel, have been deployed to assist in search and relief operations following the devastating floods.
