Manama : Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received members of the Parliament of India, led by MP Baijayant Panda.
The meeting reviewed issues of common interest and means to enhance parliamentary cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries.
MP Salman highlighted the historical ties between Bahrain and India, strengthened under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He emphasised the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation to serve the shared interests of both countries and their peoples across various sectors, particularly within parliamentary diplomacy.
For his part, MP Panda commended Bahrain’s diplomatic and parliamentary efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in reinforcing bilateral cooperation and expressed gratitude for the care and support extended to the Indian community residing in the Kingdom.
