Manama : Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, has affirmed the constant growth of the deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Egyptian relations in all fields, particularly the financial and economic ones, stressing the importance of consolidating them further to benefit the two countries and their peoples.
The minister was speaking while meeting Waleed Gamal El Din, the Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), as part of his visit to Egypt to chair the kingdom’s delegation at the first meeting of the Bahraini-Egyptian Governmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the major role played by SCZone in enhancing economic development and supporting the investment business environment in Egypt. He also stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations and pushing them towards broader levels in order to meet common aspirations and interests.
The two sides reviewed ways to broaden areas of bilateral cooperation, in addition to the latest global economic developments.
