Manama : The fifth edition of the International Diplomats Programme “Dhiyafa”, organised by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, will begin on Sunday from April 6-20. This edition will host 23 diplomats from various countries.
Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Academy, highlighted the ministry’s commitment to continuing the programme, noting that the fifth edition builds on the objectives and successes achieved in previous years. She added that the programme offers a unique platform for open dialogue between diplomats from around the world, supports international cooperation and partnerships between foreign ministries and diplomatic academies, and provides participants with the opportunity to explore the Kingdom of Bahrain’s heritage, culture, and strategic priorities through meetings with senior officials.
Dhiyafa introduces participants to the Kingdom’s achievements across various sectors through guided tours, field visits, and cultural activities. The programme also includes a series of lectures and workshops covering a range of political, diplomatic, and economic topics, offering a comprehensive training experience combining academic and practical elements.
Dhiyafa was one of the winning ideas in the first edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra) in 2018. Since its launch, the programme has hosted 91 diplomats from 47 countries.
