Manama : The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) will host the important international and local qualifier events for the 2023/2024 endurance season on Saturday.
The qualifiers will take place at the prestigious Bahrain International Endurance Village, with distances of 120km, 100km, 80km and 40km on the schedule.

Riders from top Bahraini stables such as KHK and Al Muharraq Equestrian Academy will be in action, all aiming to earn qualification for prestigious upcoming tours and championships on the calendar.

Coaches have expressed confidence in their charges after intensive preparation. BREEF aims to deliver the qualifiers to the highest standard befitting Bahrain’s rich equestrian reputation. Vet checks and weigh-ins took place under tight regulations.

Winners will earn the coveted qualification tags for future events. They will be honoured in an awards ceremony after the final 120km international race concludes proceedings. With ideal forecast conditions, all participants and fans can expect a momentous occasion.
Best Horse Condition Award

It’s worth noting that the premier endurance races, the 120km local , will feature the “Best Horse Condition” competitions, sponsored by HH Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa. The competition assesses various criteria such as heart rate, cool down time, dehydration level, gut movement and respiratory recovery within the first hour of the horse finishing first or subsequent placings. Any horse deemed physiologically unfit based on the standards after an hour’s rest is disqualified.
