Alexandria : Karim Badwy, Petroleum Minister of Egypt, opened the Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition (MOC) that was launched in 2000 as a pioneering technical event in the Mediterranean region focusing on highlighting the latest technological advances in the energy industry.
The three-day event is being held under the theme of Mapping the Future of Mediterranean Energy: Optimizing Exploration, Development, and Production with Decarbonization Technologies for a Sustainable Tomorrow.
Key participants include the Cypriot energy minister, chiefs of major international organisations, executive directors from several global energy companies, and leaders from the Egyptian petroleum industry, MENA News Agency reported.
The event aims to explore opportunities for cooperation among countries and investors in the Mediterranean region, while also seeking to establish new strategic partnerships. Additionally, it will facilitate the exchange of expertise to enhance the development of the energy industry.
The event connects and addresses all regional energy activities, bringing together relevant stakeholders to explore the vast energy potential of the Mediterranean region.
