Manama : Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister, today received the first batch of assistant principals for academic affairs and assistant principals for supporting education, who have acquired their job titles as a result of the Education Ministry’s new organizational structure.
The minister indicated that the post of “Assistant Principal” had been launched at government schools decades ago, and was practised according to traditional practices, noting that new global trends in school institutions require determining the roles within schools by creating the post of “Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs” to support the principal in the educational and learning fields, as well as an “Assistant Principal for Supporting Education” to assist the principal in the administrative, logistical and supervisory services.
The minister congratulated the assistant principals, noting that the move represents a quantum leap in the history of government schools in the kingdom.
He affirmed that the new assistant principals will officially acquire their new job titles in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau.
