According to the International Standards, the doubling in the number should take atleast two weeks, when the period is less than that, this is considered negative and means the spread of the virus is more than the normal average
“The time taken to double cases among the people during the past two months ranged between 27 days to 11 days, which reflects the accelerated spread of the virus among peoples, due to the lack of adherence to the preventive measures and guidelines established to preserve the safety of all,” said Lt. Col. Dr.Ahmed Al Ansari.
In the past week reproduction rate (R0) immediately ranged in the Kingdom between 1.3% to 1.8%.
