Beijing : China’s exports grew by 7.3% during the first seven months of 2025, while imports declined by 1.6%, according to data released Thursday by the General Administration of Customs.
Figures published by the Xinhua News Agency showed that China’s total goods trade — exports and imports combined — increased by 3.5% year-on-year during the same period, reaching 25.7 trillion yuan (USD 3.6 trillion).
Lyu Daliang, Director of the Department of Statistical Analysis at the General Administration of Customs, said in a press briefing that China’s foreign trade has maintained stable growth this year despite a complex external environment.
He noted that trade with Africa rose by 17.2%, with Central Asia by 16.3%, with ASEAN by 9.4%, and with the European Union by 3.9%, adding that ASEAN and the EU together accounted for one-third of China’s total trade.
