Manama : The Capital Governorate participated in the celebration of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association, which it organised in cooperation with the Women in Technology Organisation, Bahrain Branch, on the occasion of the organisation’s second anniversary.

Yousef Yaqub Lori, Director of Information and Follow-up Directorate in the Capital Governorate, emphasised the continuation of cooperation with the Bahraini Businesswomen’s Association to support the entrepreneurship sector, joint training programmes, and the advancement of the association’s activities, in line with government efforts to achieve economic diversification.

Ahlam Janahi, President of the Bahraini Businesswomen’s Association, said that this celebration highlights the role of Bahraini businesswomen in the field of technology, which opens the doors of communication with the world, stressing the association’s management’s interest in creating specific professional initiatives that enhance the use of technology in the field of entrepreneurship, supporting the field of entrepreneurship and empowering small and medium enterprises as a major tributary of the economy.

Doris Martin, Head of the Association’s Training and Technology Committee, explained that the organization’s goal revolves around supporting gender equality in the field of technology by training 100,000 women by 2030, as well as facilitating women’s involvement in the field of technology through events and a wide range of services provided by the Association.
