Manama : BRAVE Combat Federation this month celebrates its ninth anniversary, marking the remarkable rise of the Bahrain-born promotion from an ambitious vision into a global force in mixed martial arts.
Founded on September 23, 2016, by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BRAVE CF made its debut with a stacked inaugural card, BRAVE CF 1: THE BEGINNING. The event showcased future stars such as Ahmed “The Butcher” Amir, Eldar Eldarov, Hamza Kooheji, Mohammad “Sher-e-hind” Farhad, and Stephen “The Sniper” Loman.
The debut lived up to its billing, with seven of the ten bouts ending in spectacular finishes, setting the tone for what would become an extraordinary journey.
Since then, BRAVE CF has grown into the fastest-expanding MMA organisation in the world. It has staged more than 100 events across 36 countries and five continents, breaking barriers through cross-promotional collaborations and an unparalleled global scouting system. In less than a decade, the promotion has reached territories where few others have ventured.
Before the end of 2025, BRAVE CF will enter two new markets with BRAVE CF: GEORGIA VS. THE WORLD in Tbilisi on October 3, followed by BRAVE CF 99 in Vilnius, Lithuania, on October 18.
Its global broadcast reach has also continued to expand. The most recent partnership with beIN SPORTS has extended coverage to the United States and Canada, introducing millions of new viewers to BRAVE CF’s brand of MMA.
This year is set to culminate in a landmark moment as the organisation prepares for its centennial event. BRAVE 100 will take place on November 7 at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain, a fitting stage for its most historic night yet.
The ninth year has fittingly been named the “Year of the BRAVE,” a reflection of the organisation’s achievements and the strong foundation it continues to lay for the future.
With its tenth anniversary on the horizon, BRAVE CF’s journey is far from complete. The past nine years have shown that it is more than just an MMA promotion, it is a movement, carrying the spirit of the BRAVE to every corner of the globe.
