Manama : BRAVE Combat Federation has announced the main event for BRAVE CF 91, featuring South African bantamweight world champion Nkosi Ndebele defending his title against Zimbabwe’s Nicholas Hwende. The fight is scheduled for December 13 during BRAVE International Combat Week 2024, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
The event, organised by BRAVE Combat Federation in collaboration with Team Bahrain, will take place at Khalifa Sports City Arena from December 13 to 15.
Ndebele will defend his bantamweight title for the second time after defeating former champion Jose Torres in the main event of BRAVE CF 80 last December. He successfully defended his title against Torres in a rematch during the main event of BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius this May.
Hwende enters the main event following a series of consecutive victories, including a win over Khurshed Nazarov in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 82. After that fight, Hwende issued a challenge to face Ndebele for the bantamweight world title.
BRAVE CF 91 is the 11th event in BRAVE Combat Federation’s 2024 calendar and will be part of the sixth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week, which also includes BRAVE CF 92 on December 15, the organisation’s 12th and final event of the year. Additionally, the week will feature the IMMAF Asian Mixed Martial Arts Championships, organised under the supervision of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).
