Manama: Bodhi Dharma Martial Arts Academy’s Grading Test and Championship
Held at the Muharraq Al Islahi Center.
Esteemed guest Mohammed Hussein Al Janahi (Capital Governorate First District) MP of Hoora Gudaibiya graced the event as the chief guest, Shams Academy Director Farid Shaib, New Horizon School Chairman Joy Mathew, Muharraq Malayali Samajam President Anas Rahim, Social Worker Syed Hanif, Bodhi Dharma Member Chacko Joseph, and Al Minar Director Abdullatif were attended as special gusest.
The test and championship were held under the leadership of Bodhi Dharma Chief Master Shamir Khan. who is expertised in the field of Bahrain Martial Arts for 26 years.
MP Mohammed Hussain Al Janahi honored with a memento. More than 100 children from Salmaniya Fitness Center Dojo, Sanad Brain Craft Dojo, Adilia Dojo, and Muharraq Malayali Samajam Dojo under BDMA participated in the test.
Abubakar won the fourth degree black belt, Prasamjith won the third degree black belt, Sujan and Jerin won the second degree black belt, and Jasna won the first degree black belt. Other children also won the green, yellow, blue, and brown color belts. In the championship,
All the competent performed excellently. Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the best performers by MP Mohammed Hussain Al Janahi, Farid Shaib and Joy Mathew.
The winners of the BDMA Champions of the Year 2024 in the boys’ category were Sujan, Jerin and Prasanjith, and winners in the girls’ category were Jasna, Aryananda and Maria Johnson.
Chief Master Shamir Khan’s disciple Jolly Joseph delivered a motivational speech at the event. The presence of Ramzi Mohammed Liaqat added to the charm of the event.
Chief Master Shamir Khan’s other disciples Abubakar, Riyaz, Shyju, Alka, Dilshab from Saudi, Srinath, Sudha, Nawaf, Shahjahan, Moideen and Zakir led the test.
BDMA Director Shamir Khan commented at the event that martial arts can play a major role in maintaining physical and mental health.
