Bahrain to join the Arab world in celebrating the 45th edition of the Arab Deaf Week under the theme “The Right of the Deaf to an Easy Marriage Supported by Social Institutions”.
The event is remarked the last week of April every year as a reminder of the deaf in the society, in order with the recommendations of the 2nd conference of the Arab Federation of Deaf Organizations, which was conducted in Damascus from 24 to 26 April of 1974.
The event targets to raise the awareness of the deaf’s rightness and abilities and ways to put a stop at this defect.
Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan highlighted the great care given to the deaf society by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
He also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
