Manama : The Bahrain Space Agency participated in a specialised seminar on space law addressing legal frameworks governing activities beyond Earth.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Space Agency, as well as legal specialists from the agency, took part in the seminar, which examined the application of criminal law beyond Earth, jurisdictional challenges, and legal precedents in space-related cases.
The seminar also reviewed existing legal frameworks, including the Outer Space Treaty, and the evolution of enforcement mechanisms covering lunar bases, commercial stations, and future settlements.
Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa, Senior Legal Researcher at the agency, said the participation supports efforts to strengthen national legal capabilities and develop legislation governing space activities in line with international standards.
The agency noted that the participation contributes to advancing legal and regulatory readiness for the safe and sustainable use of outer space.
