Manama : Manama, the Indian Embassy organized the “India in Bahrain” festival. This initiative by the Indian Embassy aimed to promote Indian art, culture, and trade in Bahrain. Various cultural programs from different states of India were showcased, and 19 Indian organizations participated at the invitation of the Indian Embassy.

“Bahrain Odia Samaj” was invited by the Embassy to represent Odisha state in India in Bahrain Festival . They have actively engaged in “Odisha Stall” with cultural programs. A major attraction of the cultural event was the Sambalpuri dance performed by children from the “Bahrain Odia Samaj.”
Mrinayani Nayak, Aardhya Jena, Gunjan Pal, Araina Mohanti, Ayushi Dash, Shivanasi Nayak were participated in the dance program.

In addition to the cultural programs, there was also a beautiful Odisha stall displaying various handicrafts, tribal products, traditional fabrics, and handlooms from Odisha. The Indian Embassy officials, all guests, and many non-Odia expressed great interest in these handicrafts, praising them highly as a matter of pride and honor for Odisha.

Mr Prabhakar Padhi, President, Mr PD Roy, Treasurer, Mr Shantanu Senapati, General secretary, Mr Sharada Prasad Pattnaik, Joint Secretary, Mr Karunakar Nayak member of the Bahrain Odia Samaj, Mr Amresh Panda, Sports Secretary, Mr Amarnath Subudhi, Public Relation Secretary, Mrs Ankita Nayak, Culture Secretary, Mr Saumyadarshi Dash, former General Secretary were the key organisers of the Odia Stall.
Several members of the Bahrain Odia Samaj gathered to enjoy the event and uplift the morale of the participants.

In conclusion, the president of the Bahrain Odia Samaj, Mr Prabhakar Padhi, expressed gratitude to all the members and the participants.

It is noteworthy that for the past 18 years, the “Bahrain Odia Samaj” has been actively promoting the rich culture, heritage, and handicrafts of Odisha in Bahrain.
