Manama : A plane of Gulf Air Company, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has arrived at Port Sudan International Airport with urgent medical relief aid onboard.
The consignment was dispatched in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The plane was received on arrival at the airport by Bahraini Ambassador to Sudan, Abdullah Rabia Saeed Rabia and senior Sudanese officials.
The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s inherent approach in supporting brotherly and friendly countries to overcome different challenges.
The aid consignment reflects brotherly ties binding the two countries and peoples.
The ambassador noted that the urgent medical relief aid will be distributed on hospitals to make up for the shortage of medical equipment and support the Sudanese people to overcome the crisis.
