Manama : In support of the Bahrain national football team’s participation in the Gulf Cup Khaleeji26, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced increased operational capacity at Bahrain International Airport to accommodate the expected surge in passenger traffic to Kuwait for the final match on January 4. Bahrain will face Oman at Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.
BAC is organising several activities for both passengers and staff, including live screenings of the match in designated areas of the terminal to enhance the travel experience. Staff will also wear the national team’s red shirts to show solidarity with the team.
With the expected increase in passenger numbers, BAC recommends using Parking Lot A, where shuttle buses will transport travellers to the terminal. Passengers are advised to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled flights, in line with the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s guidelines.
BAC has implemented measures to ensure smooth operations such as improved parking management, dedicated check-in counters, and additional staff at key checkpoints. These efforts are being coordinated with strategic partners, including airport police, immigration, customs, Gulf Air, and Bahrain Airport Services, to ensure a seamless experience for all travellers.
