Manama : The Bahrain Council for the Development of International Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanisms and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), part of the World Bank Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop cooperation in international dispute resolution.
The MoU was signed by Marika Paulson, Secretary General of the Bahrain Council for the Development of International Commercial Dispute Resolution Mechanisms, and Martina Polasek, Secretary General of ICSID and Vice President of the World Bank. The agreement aims to establish a framework for collaboration and knowledge exchange between both entities.
The signing took place in Bahrain during Polasek’s first visit to the region, where she emphasised ICSID’s commitment to working with Bahrain to strengthen international dispute resolution mechanisms.
Paulson highlighted the significance of the MoU as a milestone in enhancing Bahrain’s role in cross-border dispute resolution and facilitating international trade.
