Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s hijacking of a United Arab Emirates-flagged cargo ship, which was heading from Socotra Island to the port of Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The Foreign Ministry denounced the terrorist operating which targedt the cargo ship transporting equipment for a field hospital, describing the acts as a flagrant violation of the international law of the sea. It affirmed that terrorist Houthi militia had committed a maritime piracy that poses a great threat to the freedom of maritime navigation in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea. It said that the terrorist acts shows the militia’s terrorist drive to subvert regional security and stability, calling on the international community to condemn this dangerous terrorist act and compel the Houthis to immediately release the ship and its crew.
