Washington :The death toll from flooding caused by heavy rainfall in the US state of Texas has risen to at least ten as of Friday. Firefighters in the city of San Antonio, one of the hardest hit areas, continue efforts to search for at least four more possible victims.
Jakarta : One person was killed and another injured in a shooting incident on the Indonesian island of Bali, police confirmed on Saturday. An Australian man died from gunshot wounds at a villa near Mengwi Beach in Badung, Bali, while another Australian was injured in the same attack, according to Local police chief Arief Batubara. Batubara said that an investigation has been launched and that police are currently seeking witnesses. The victims were transported to a hospital in Denpasar, the capital of Bali. Batubara said the motive and perpetrator remain unknown pending the outcome of the investigation.

Manama : The Anti Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, in coordination with the Air Customs Directorate at Customs Affairs, has foiled an attempt to smuggle over 11 kilograms of narcotics via air cargo, with an estimated street value of BHD 64,000. The operation began when Air Customs officers intercepted a postal package containing 1.156 kilograms of synthetic cannabis.
