Manama : As part of its annual plan to promote general safety among seafarers, the Coast Guard has held an awareness campaign at Al Jazaer Beach. The activities were held in cooperation with Northern and Southern Governorate Police Directorates and the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture. The campaigns highlighted general safety instructions, including not leaving children unattended, wearing lifejackets, and only swimming in swimming-permitted areas. They also included the distribution of multi-language leaflets.

Ahmedabad : Early warnings, accurate identification of vulnerable areas and timely evacuations helped India to avert major casualties from cyclone Biparjoy, which battered the west coast near Pakistan late on Thursday, authorities said.
