Manama : Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, Royal Guard Commander received with Lieutenant General Francesco Diella, Director of Cooperative Security Division, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) International Military Staff. The meeting reviewed the ongoing partnership between Bahrain and the NATO which serves joint interests and contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region. It also reviewed topics of common interest, including military, defense, and security cooperation.

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued a circular regarding the Arafah and the Eid Al-Adha holidays. According to the circular, the Kingdom’s ministries and public institutions will be closed on the day of Arafah, and on Eid Al-Adha, corresponding to 27 – 30 June, respectively. As Friday is already an official holiday, Sunday, 2 July, will be given in lieu, the circular added.
Manama : 63% of the units of “Suhail” housing project have already been booked, Housing and Urban Planning Ministry announced. Sao Paulo : At least 11 people have been killed in Brazil’s southern state of Rio Grande do Sul after an extra-tropical cyclone struck the region on Friday, according to the state’s authorities. The storm caused torrential rains and helicopter searches are underway in flooded neighborhoods to find 20 others who have gone missing, the government of Rio Grande do Sul said in a press release. Madinah : 718,030 pilgrims arrived to Madinah today, who came through the air and sea ports, to perform this year’s Hajj season 2023. The statistics of Hajj and Visit Committee, which monitors the arrival and departure of pilgrims in Madinah, indicated that the total arrivals for Saturday amounted to 29,090 pilgrims, of whom 25,962 arrived at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah through 105 flights. The Immigration Center received 65 flights carrying 2,099 pilgrims and the Land pilgrims center received 22 flights carrying 924 pilgrims.
