Taipei : Bahrain today lost to Indonesia in the Asia Volleyball Cup Challenge, being held in Chinese Taipei. The Indonesia team dominated the first set 33/31 before the national squad bounced back to win the second and third sets (27/25) and (25/21) respectively. Indonesia sealed the final victory, winning the fourth and fifth sets (25/23) and (15/11) respectively. Indonesia tops Group F with two wins against Sri Lanka and Bahrain respectively in the preliminary stage. Nepal : A helicopter carrying foreign tourists went missing Tuesday in the Mount Everest area of Nepal and contact was lost with the aircraft. The helicopter was returning to the capital Kathmandu on Tuesday morning after bringing the five tourists on a sightseeing trip to the world’s highest peak. A search effort was underway involving another helicopter in the skies and police and soldiers on the ground. Much of the mountainous area is only accessible on foot with no roads. London : The dollar weakened to a two-month low on Tuesday after Federal Reserve officials signalled that the central bank was nearing the end of its tightening cycle, while the pound hit a 15-month high after pay growth exceeded expectations.
