Zürich : Bahraini athlete, Winfred Yavi, added a new title to her achievement-laden sports career when she won the women’s 3000m steeplechase at the Zürich Diamond League, the 11th leg of the Diamond League 2023 season. Yavi won the race a few days after her success in bagging a gold medal at the World Athletics Championship which concluded in Budapest recently. Bahrain’s world champion finished the race in 9:03.19, ahead of Keya’s Beatrice Chepkoech and Faith Cherotich, who clocked 9:03.70 and 9:07.59, respectively.
