Manama : Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, announced the launch of a service for renewing residency and work permits for expatriates when they are outside Bahrain. Covering expats working in the commercial and government sectors, registered labourers and domestic workers, the service is delivered in coordination with the Labour Market Regularly Authority (LMRA). The service would be obtained via the National Portal of Bahrain if the residency permit is renewed. Manama : Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested nine individuals aged 23-43 for possessing narcotics locally named “Shabu”. The narcotics and related tools were seized, and legal proceedings were taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
Jeddah : Saudi Royal Court issued a statement today announcing the passing away of Prince Jalawi bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Jalawi Al Saud. According to SPA, the funeral prayer will be performed on Sunday after the Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque, in Riyadh.

Manama: Five Indians killed in a car accident in Bahrain at 10pm on 1st September. A cleaning company truck collided with their car near Aali area on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway in Bahrain., deceased were identified as Mahesh VP from Kozhikode, Jagath Vasudevan from Malappuram, Gaider George from Thrissur, Akhil Raghu from Kannur and Suman Rajanna from Telanghana , who were employees of leading private hospital in Bahrain. the bodies of the deceased were kept in Salmaniya Medical Complex mortuary. the Interior ministry said investigation is on process and a comprehensive report will be submitted to the Public Prosecution.
