Seoul : His Excellency Kim Min-seok, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, held a meeting with Sugiono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, during which they discussed means to expand bilateral ties. The meeting reviewed the strong ties between the two countries in the fields of defence, energy, and people-to-people exchanges, and expressed hope for the partnership to broaden further across all areas, according to the Yonhap News Agency. San Juan : Hurricane Erin weakened to a Category 3 hurricane on Sunday, its outer bands lashing the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, as forecasters warned of a growing risk of life-threatening surf and rip currents along the US Eastern seaboard during the week from what is expected to become a very large hurricane. Cairo : Bahrain’s under-16 basketball team won the 22nd Arab U16 Championship after defeating Algeria 81–63 in the final in Cairo. It is the first Arab title in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s basketball history, highlighting the sport’s growth and strong youth talent. The team had earlier beaten Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Kuwait and hosts Egypt on their way to the final.
