Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (58) of 2025, amending Article l of Decree (50) of 2020 on the Establishment and Formation of the Committee for Combating Extremism, Terrorism Financing, and Money Laundering, based on the proposal of the Minister of Interior and following the approval of the Cabinet. The Minister of Interior shall implement this decree, which shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.

Manama : The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) announced the opening of registration for programmers, scientists, designers, storytellers, technicians, entrepreneurs, artists, space enthusiasts and students of all ages and nationalities to take part in the eighth edition of the International Space Apps Challenge Hackathon. Article I His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa shall be appointed Deputy Chief Executive of the Executive Office of the Supreme Council for Environment at the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, succeeding Shaikh Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. Honolulu : Hurricane Kiko was tracking to the north of the Hawaiian islands, diminishing the threat of strong winds and widespread rain, the National Weather Service said Saturday. Kiko was about 1,000 miles (1,609 kilometers) southeast of Hilo on the Big Island Saturday morning and was forecast to approach the state early to middle next week. Maximum sustained winds were 120 mph (195 kph), the weather service said. At a Category 3 hurricane Saturday afternoon, Kiko was expected to gradually weaken over the next several days. Taiyuan : China launched a new group of remote sensing satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi Province on Sunday. The satellites of the Yaogan-40 03 group were launched at 12:34 a.m. (Beijing Time) aboard a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket, and they entered the preset orbits successfully. They will be used to carry out electromagnetic environment detection and related technical tests. The launch marked the 593rd mission of the Long March carrier rockets. London : UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a cabinet reshuffle following the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.
