London : The British government on Saturday announced over 1.25 billion pounds ($1.69 billion) in fresh investment from major U.S. financial firms, including PayPal, Bank of America, Citigroup and S&P Global, ahead of a state visit by President Donald Trump. Mexico City :  A fiery accident in Mexico’s Yucatán peninsula on Saturday killed 15 people, according to the state’s secretary of public security. The accident, which occurred on the highway between Merida and Campeche, killed passengers travelling in a trailer, a car and a taxi. “Since the first report, emergency, security, and health services are attending to the situation to provide immediate assistance,” he said.

Mogadishu : Thirty terrorists were killed in a military operation carried out by the Somali army in El dheer, Galgaduud region, central Somalia. Government forces also arrested a number of terrorists, including senior leaders involved in violations against civilians. The agency added that six soldiers were killed and 14 others injured during the clash.
