Cairo : At least 12 people were killed and 33 injured in Egypt on Monday after a bus overturned on a highway connecting Cairo to the Red Sea coast, the Egyptian health ministry said. It said in a statement that 28 ambulances were sent to the scene of the accident which took place on Al-Galala highway connecting Cairo to Red Sea coastal towns including Ain Sokhna. London : Britain’s aviation regulator said it would allow drones to inspect infrastructure such as power lines and wind turbines, a move the authority has described as a significant milestone. The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had said earlier this year that it wanted to permit more drone flying for such activities as well as for deliveries and emergency services. Manama : The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the implementation of 1,708 inspection campaigns and visits, during the period of 6 to 12 October 2024, which resulted in the detention of 28 violating and irregular workers, while 180 violators were deported. The inspection campaigns and visits also resulted in monitoring a number of violations related to the provisions of a number of regulating laws, especially the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that legal measures were taken regarding the observed violations. Registration is open from today, Tuesday October 15, until October 31.
