Manama : The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Thirst-Quenchers 2024 team continue its annual summer awareness program, aligning with the Ministry of Labour’s initiative to ensure a safe working environment during the sweltering months of July and August. London : Heavy rainfall and fog caused significant flight delays and cancellations at London’s busiest airports, as reduced visibility disrupted operations. According to FlightAware, an aviation tracking service, approximately 20% of flights at Heathrow Airport, Europe’s largest, were delayed, with 3% of takeoffs and landings cancelled. Hangzhou : A new high-speed railway connecting Hangzhou and Wenzhou, two major economic hubs in east China’s Zhejiang Province, began operations on Friday. With a designed speed of 350 km per hour, the 276 km railway features nine stations in cities such as the provincial capital Hangzhou, the small-commodity hub Yiwu, and the province’s third-largest city Wenzhou. The railway will strengthen transportation links between cities in the Yangtze River Delta, one of China’s most economically vibrant regions, according to Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Co.
