Tokyo, Oct 5 (IANS) A tsunami warning was issued on Thursday after a massive earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted Japan’s Izu Islands, the national weather bureau said.According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the temblor occurred at 11.09 a.m. at a depth of 10 km, reports Xinhua news agency.A tsunami advisory of an estimated height of one metre was issued following the quake. Washington, Oct 5 (IANS) The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that approximately 1.1 million 7.62mm rounds of munitions seized from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been transferred to the Ukrainian armed forces.In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Central Command said the transfer took place on Monday.”The government obtained ownership of these munitions on July 20 through the Department of Justice’s civil forfeiture claims against the IRGC.
