On Saturday, a trial court in Islamabad had sentenced Khan to three years’ imprisonment besides slapping a fine of Rs 100,000 while hearing the ECP’s criminal complaint against the ex-premier for concealing the details of Toshakhana gifts. An official said on Tuesday that the four individuals involved in the incident were in an inebriated condition.The incident happened on late Monday night when the accused persons came at the restaurant.They got into an argument with the cook, claiming the food did not taste good, a police officer said, adding they later thrashed the cook, resulting in his death.The deceased has been identified as Shiv Deshmukh. Oka and Sanjay Karol asked Thomas, the former Director General of Police (DGP) of Kerala Police, to fully cooperate with the probe while granting him protection against arrest.
