Manama : Al Raja Private School celebrated its 125th anniversary with a ceremony attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board.
The minister congratulated the school community and commended its role in educating generations of Bahraini talent contributing to national development. He emphasised the ministry’s commitment to supporting private education, encouraging investment, and integrating private school students into national programmes, including international tests, talent competitions, and scholarship plans.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Salman, a 1994 alumnus, highlighted the school’s achievements over its century-long history and its impact on graduates’ personal and professional lives.
Nicky Perfect, Principal of Al Raja, expressed joy at the alumni reunion, emphasising the school’s commitment to nurturing highly qualified individuals for Bahrain’s development.
Scott Engelsman, representing the Reformed Church in the US, spoke on the role of education in community building and supporting sustainable development goals.
The event concluded with a tribute to long-serving staff with over 25 years of service, recognising their contributions to the school’s success.
