Bahrain : Al Hilal Hospital and Medical Centers opened the first private medical clinic for Muharram in the capital of Manama on July 23, 2023. Al Hilal medical group is the official partner of the Ashura Committee, along with the Ministry of Health, the capital governorate and Jaffaria Waqf Directorate.
H. E. Dr. Jaleela Bint AlSayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Capital Governor, Yousif Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of Jaffaria Waqf Board, Dr Lulwa Rashid Al Showaiter, Primary Healthcare Centers Acting Chief Executive Officer and Dr Sharath Chandran CEO of Al Hilal Healthcare group were part of it.
Dr. Sharath Chandran, CEO of Al-Hilal Healthcare Group, said, “The clinic of Al-Hilal Healthcare Group, which opened on the fifth night and continues to operate until the tenth night of the month of Muharram, is located near the Haji Abbas funeral home in the capital of Manama in coordination with Ministry of health.
He added that, medical staff has been provided to provide treatment for emergency cases during the Ashura season and to allocate an ambulance to transport these cases if needed.”
He mentioned, Al hilal is part of the Ashura Medical Committee, which comprises government hospitals and primary care centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health. Therefore, the hospital sought to provide medical services to the mourners and support for Imam Hussein (PBUH) clinic by giving treatment for emergency cases, and the goal is to strengthen community partnership.”
Dr. Sharath Chandran, CEO of Al Hilal Group for Healthcare, thanked all governmental and private institutions and civil society institutions for their support in establishing and opening the clinic.
