Manama : Based on the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the instructions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) and CEO of the Bahrain National Committee for Supporting the Palestinians in Gaza, held a meeting with Dr. Rami Jameel Al Nadher, CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The two sides discussed the most important relief, medical and food needs of the Palestinians in Gaza during the current phase imposed by the unfolding developments of the war there.
Dr. Al Sayed affirmed the firm stance of Bahrain’s leadership, government and people in support of the Palestinians, based on the solid Bahraini-Palestinian relations, and the fraternal humanitarian duty towards the Palestinian people during such circumstances.
The RHF Secretary-General asserted that the ongoing war requires everyone to extend a helping hand to the Palestinians to alleviate their suffering and give them hope.
These are Bahrain’s main goals, as reflected in the work of the National Committee for Supporting the Palestinians in Gaza, based on the directives of HM the King, the support of the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the instruction of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, he said.
He added that the kingdom’s support for the Palestinians is also proved by the massive participation of the citizens in the RHF’s ongoing nation-wide campaign to raise funds for the Gazans, affirming that many relief and developmental initiatives and projects will be implemented for the Palestinians in Gaza.
Dr. Rami Al Nadher praised HM the King’s directives to dispatch relief aid to the Palestinians in Gaza, hailing the humanitarian and developmental initiatives of the kingdom’s leadership, government and people.
The CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent indicated that Bahrain’s aid shipments will be delivered to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
