Manama Under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), and the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the RHF delivered a shipment of humanitarian relief aid, following the floods in Libya.
Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed, RHF Secretary-General, praised the royal directives of HM the King on dispatching a shipment of urgent humanitarian relief aid to Libya, with the support from the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The RHF, based on the royal directives and under the leadership of HH Shaikh Nasser, has worked to prepare 40 tonnes of medical, food, relief, and shelter supplies to provide the basic and necessary needs of the Libyan people to help them in these current circumstances, Al Sayyed said.
He noted that Bahrain is undertaking a number of initiatives and efforts to support the Libyans during those difficult times.
The RHF delegation to Libya, led by Yousef Abdullah Al-Yaqoub, Assistant Secretary-General for Planning and Charity Resources Development at the RHF, was received by the representative of the Libyan Red Crescent, Al Zubair Hamad Al Gharyani, the legal advisor to the Secretary-General of the Libyan Red Crescent.
Al Gharyani expressed Libya’s appreciation to Bahrain and its people for their standing with Libya, praising the royal directives of HM the King to aid victims of floods to help them cope with the repercussions of this ordeal.
