‘In line with ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry of Health is conducting field visits across the Kingdom, including in Manama- Bab Al-Bahrain area, Durrat Al Bahrain and areas alongside the Budaiya highway, to collect random medical samples using mobile screening units.
“The ministry of health is taking precautionary measures in accordance with the updates as we go back to the local results in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The current capacity for the treatment centres stands at 1,667 beds of which 232 beds are occupied. As for the quarantine centres, the current capacity stands at 2,504 beds of which 215 beds are occupied. We have plans for future changes and updates to limit the virus” said Dr. Waleed Al Manea- Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health.
He emphasized that Bahrain was ready to tackle any circumstances. Many efforts are being taken in the field of healthcare were continuous being health services are provided for the citizens and residents alike.
“In Bahrain, we started with the transparency and availability of information from the first day and we are continuing to do so. We count on partnerships to combat the virus as nobody can do it on their own. This is a community partnership, national responsibility of the citizens and government by following the instructions and guidelines” he added.
In Bahrain, the daily routine continues keeping in mind the guidelines and precautionary measures that prevent the virus from spreading. Daily life is normal particularly regarding the essential supplies that remain accessible to the public.
