Zagreb : Bahrain today lost Spain 19/29 in the 10th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) World Championship, being held in Croatia from 2 to 13 August 2023.
The Group D match was played at the at the Josep Samardija Bebo Hall in Koprivnica County in the capital Zagreb.
The Spanish team which led at halftime 15 to 8 went on to seal the final victory by an 11 goal-difference. Spain is one of the favourite teams to win the trophy.
The national team will rest tomorrow, Friday, before taking on Brazil on Saturday in the third Group D match at 6.30 PM. A win will surely enable Bahrain to qualify to the main round.
In other matches, Saudi Arabia held Argentina 29/29 to claim its first point after losing to Germany in the first match 26/37.
