Bahrain : Al Hekma International School held the graduation ceremony for the twenty-eighth batch of the Class of 2023.
The graduating students completed the requirements for obtaining the American High School Diploma and celebrated in a magnificent event at the Art Resort – Amwaj Islands on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
The ceremony was attended by the renowned artist, Major General Dr. Mubarak Najm, the honored national figure of the year for his significant contributions to society and Mr Fareed Bader, Chairperson of Albader Group and guest speaker of the ceremony.
Also present were Mrs Lulwa AlMuhana, Director of Private Schools Directorate at Ministry of Education, Dr. Mona Rashid Al-Zayani, the school president, Mr. Mohanned Al-Anni, the chairman of the school’s board of directors, Dr Adel Hamad Chairperson of Board of Directors, Ms. Maya Harb, the school Principal, as well as invited guests and the parents of the graduates.
Dr. Mona Rashid Al-Zayani, the school president, delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating the graduates and their families on this occasion.
She urged the graduating students to continue their academic and professional journey, emphasizing the role of education in shaping individual character and its impact on society.
She stated, “For 37 years, the school has been and continues to be a shining beacon of private education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. What distinguishes Al Hekma International School from others is the provision of an international education while preserving the authentic traditions and customs of the Bahraini community, which have become an integral part of the school’s educational culture.” She added,
“Thanks to the efforts of the school’s administrative and academic staff, the dedication of the students, and the support and encouragement of parents, the school has successfully obtained the renewal of its international accreditation from MSA.”
Mr. Mohanned Al-Anni, the chairman of the school’s board of directors, stated, “Since its establishment in 1985, Al Hekma International School has been striving to provide the highest educational standards, aiming to enrich the Bahraini market with experiences and knowledge in various fields, contributing to the progress and success of the Kingdom.
It has witnessed unprecedented progress during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved ruler of the country, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Each year, the school actively honors outstanding students to showcase their academic and extra-curricular achievements in all fields. This approach encourages practical and experimental learning through diverse activities encompassing business, global affairs, and scientific endeavors. For the current academic year, Saud Shareeda was recognized with the esteemed “Outstanding Role Model Student” Award, highlighting his exceptional qualities.
Additionally, the “Valedictorian” Award, presented to the student who demonstrated diligent effort throughout their studies, achieving high academic performance and a remarkable cumulative grade point average, while maintaining exemplary behavior and exceptional personal life skills, was rightfully earned by Ali Abdelrahim.
