Manama : The Health Insurance Scheme aims to provide an integrated high-quality and flexible system which would be attractive for investors, said Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Secretary-General Ibrahim Ali Al Nawakhda.
He noted that the scheme aims to establish an efficient and sustainable health financing system that guarantees freedom in choosing a provider, and to set up a fair and competitive service within a framework that protects the rights of all parties involved in health insurance.
He was addressing a workshop organized by the Supreme Council of Health with insurance companies, private hospitals and insurance claims companies to shed light on the health insurance scheme.
The workshop is part of the sessions of the third edition of the “National Health Regulatory Authority Conference and Exhibition”, which was inaugurated under the patronage of SCH President Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Al Nawakhda stressed the council’s commitment to reach out to institutions related to the application of health insurance to discuss the developments of the project.
He stressed the need for continued cooperation with insurance companies, private hospitals and claims companies for the success of this project. He highlighted all the stages related to the National Health Insurance Program (SAHATI), which aims to provide integrated, sustainable and high-quality health services.
