Manama : The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) won the 2026 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Housing Award in the non profit organisations category for its initiatives and projects supporting families’ housing needs.
The award recognised the RHF’s contributions exceeding BHD 1 million to supporting families, improving their housing and living conditions, and enhancing their stability and quality of life.
The RHF represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the award ceremony, held as part of the Fourth Gulf Housing Week. The ceremony was attended by Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC; Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning; and ministers, officials and housing specialists from GCC countries.

Ibrahim Dalhan Al Doseri, Acting Secretary General of the RHF, received the award on behalf of the Foundation.
Al Doseri expressed appreciation for the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the RHF; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the RHF Board of Trustees.
He said the award, which coincides with the RHF’s 25th anniversary, reflects its efforts to develop initiatives that address families’ needs and provide safe and stable housing environments.
