Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet followed up on the implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the order of His Royal Highness, to provide full compensation to citizens whose homes and vehicles were damaged by the hostile Iranian aggression, expressing its appreciation for the efforts made by the relevant authorities in this regard.
The Cabinet expressed its pride in the dedicated efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energies, and all Bapco Energies personnel. The Cabinet commended the competence, capability, and the sense of national responsibility of all Bapco employees, noting that their efforts in maintaining operational continuity ensured the efficiency of the Kingdom’s energy system and safeguarded the continuity of its supply chains amid the hostile Iranian aggression.
The Cabinet also expressed its appreciation for the efforts and dedication of Alba’s employees in maintaining production, safeguarding Alba’s competitive position within the global industrial landscape, and its continued contribution to international aluminium output amid the hostile Iranian aggression.
The Cabinet emphasised that the employees of both Bapco Energies and Alba set the national standard in carrying out their duties, reflecting the determination of the people of Bahrain to overcome challenges and achieve prosperity and growth.
The Cabinet noted the joint meeting between the Executive and Legislative Authorities regarding ongoing national efforts to address the effects of the hostile Iranian aggression, the measures undertaken by government entities and institutions to mitigate its effects across all sectors, as well as national crisis-management readiness, the swift national response, the continuity of services, and the dedicated efforts made across various sectors.
In this regard, His Royal Highness thanked the government officials that attended the meeting, led by the Minister of Interior, for their efforts, and conveyed his appreciation to the Legislative Authority for its constructive and ongoing cooperation in support of these national efforts. His Royal Highness emphasised that safeguarding national unity, the Kingdom’s security and stability, and its assets is a shared national responsibility, supported by the collective efforts, contributions, and proposals of all members of society. Such efforts strengthen the foundations of social cohesion and contribute to sustaining the Kingdom’s development, prosperity, and progress, while advancing further national achievements for Bahrain and future generations.
On World Teachers’ Day, the Cabinet commended the efforts of Bahraini professionals in the education sector in preparing the next generation to participate effectively in the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.
The Cabinet further condemned the continued, heinous, and deliberate attacks by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that it is a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the rules of the UN Charter as well as international and humanitarian law, which poses a threat to regional security and stability. The Cabinet affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Bahrain’s national security and affirmed the Kingdom’s wholehearted support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents.
The Cabinet then reviewed several memoranda submitted by the Government Executive Committee and ministerial committees, and approved the following:
1. A proposal to regulate the sale of goods under a restricted retail system.
2. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Supreme Council for Environment and the Yale Center for Biodiversity and Global Change.
3. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Tender Board and Al Baraka Islamic Bank regarding the guarantee support initiative for small and medium-sized enterprises.
4. A draft resolution specifying the diseases, rules, regulations, and procedures governing the medical examination of prospective spouses of both genders.
The Cabinet also reviewed the following ministerial reports:
1. Outcomes of the official visit of the Minister of Interior to the United Arab Emirates.
2. Outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the second High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response.
3. Outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
4. Bahrain’s participation in the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector.
5. External engagements of the Ministers of the Kingdom of Bahrain and visits by ministers from allied countries to the Kingdom of Bahrain during October 2026.
