Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written letter from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, inviting His Majesty to attend the second GCC-EU Summit, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October.
The letter was presented to His Majesty the King by Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain.
His Majesty thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation, commending the longstanding and deep-rooted and distinguished ties between the two Kingdoms and the continued commitment to supporting and developing them at all levels for the benefit of their peoples.
His Majesty the King also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to strengthen Bahrain-Saudi ties, and for the role of Saudi Arabia in developing joint Gulf action.
His Majesty wished the GCC-EU Summit success in strengthening the partnership and further developing the longstanding cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the European Union countries to advance their common interests.
