New York : United Nations Secretary General António Guterres warned of hotter weather across the Northern Hemisphere as the El Niño climate phenomenon intensifies.
Guterres said El Niño is strengthening and worsening the effects of heatwaves, wildfires and record sea temperatures, warning that without action to protect people and address the root causes of the climate crisis, the risks will become more severe.
